Rugby League enthusiasts are quick to hold Sky accountable for their coverage of our sport. However, we must also acknowledge when they get it right, which they certainly have in recent days. During Round 1 of the NRL in Australia for 2024, Russell Crowe seized the chance to engage the US market by connecting rugby league with the NFL in a clever advertising campaign featuring the tagline, "We don't wear shoulder pads!" If we can dream, hopefully Sky have just enhanced viewership by drawing in an NFL audience. We are in 'Hunka Hunka Burning Love' with these promos guys! If you weren't already excited for the upcoming season before reading/watching this, you certainly will be now.
Who will be the 'Kings Creole?'
Who is heading to 'Heartbreak Hotel?'
Its time for 'A little less conversation a little more action please.' So grab your 'Good Luck Charms.'
Rugby League - no other live sport compares and we are on the 'Edge of Reality!'
