Noah's journey with the Saints commenced at the tender age of 15, as he joined their Under 16s setup, having been discovered while showcasing his talents for the local community team, Pilkington Recs. His remarkable performances with the Scholars soon paved the way for his ascent into the Academy. Within the Under 18s, Noah dazzled with explosive bursts and formidable runs, netting six tries during the triumphant 2023 title campaign, earning him a coveted spot on the Lancashire Academy Origin side as well.

On Friday, 10th May 2024, Stephens graced the field for the first time as a senior player for St Helens in the Super League, showcasing his talent in a magnificent 4 - 60 triumph over the Castleford Tigers, earning the honor of being the 1,287th player to don the St. Helens jersey. As the summer of 2024 unfolded, Stephens rose to the occasion, determined to rally Saints forward pack amidst challenging times. Over the last season, he took to the field 14 times for the Saints, accumulating invaluable minutes in the senior arena and demonstrating that he not only belongs at this level but is a burgeoning star to keep an eye on, delivering awe-inspiring destructive runs against seasoned opponents.

Talking with the St Helens Star, coach Paul Wellens is delighted to have retained on of the clubs most exciting talents: “We are really pleased with Noah, in how he had adjusted to full-time rugby league and the impact he brings out on the field when he has had opportunities, and we only see that impact growing."

"Noah has to continue working as hard as he has and keep applying himself in the manner he has in recent years because he is certainly a player that we see being a long-term fixture at this club." Paul Wellens

SLR believe that Stephens has the potential to become a long term successor to Alex Walmsley as he possesses all the necessary characteristics to become an elite player. We are delighted that another top emerging talent has been secured for our viewing pleasure for many seasons to come in Super League
